Local Snow Queens participated in the 2024 South Dakota Snow Queen Festival. Junior Snow Queens Junior Miss Ipswich Anna Nierman and Junior Miss Edmunds Central Jillian Fischer competed on Jan. 7 in Aberdeen. The next week Miss Edmunds Central Alanna Wiedrich and Miss Ipswich Karlie Gohl participated in the 78th Annual South Dakota Snow Queen Festival.
The Ipswich School hosted the Region 7B One Act Play Competition in the School Theatre on Jan. 17. The Edmunds Central play “Nellie” qualified to compete at the State One-Act Play Festival in the Brandon Valley Performance Center.
