Primary Election Tuesday

 


South Dakota voters will cast their ballots on Tuesday, June 5, 2018.

The polling places for the Primary Election will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Republican voters will decide the party’s candidates for U.S. Representative and Governor for the November General Election.

Candidates for U.S. Representative are Neal Tapio, Shanel Krebs and Dustin “Dusty” Johnson.

Hoping to be the Republican candidate for South Dakota Governor in the November are Marty Jackley and Kristi Noem.

The Republican ballot also has Constutional Amendment Y. The amendment would revise certain provisions relating to the rights of crime victims if it is plassed.

Democrats and Independents have a separate ballot with the Constutional Amendment issue only.

The polling place in each precinct of the county include:

Precinct #1 – The M Station - Mina (Townships: Clear Lake, Cortlandt, Kent, Pembrook, Richland and Union).

Precinct #2 – 4-H Building in Ipswich (City of Ipswich; less residents North of US Hwy 12 and East of 4th Street).

Precinct #3 – 4-H Building in Ipswich (Townships: Adrian, Belle, Cleveland, Fountain, Harmony, Huntley, Ipswich, Liberty, Powell, Rosette, and the Northeast section of Ipswich City (North of US Hwy 12 and East of 4th Street)).

Precinct #4 – Roscoe Fire Hall (Townships: Bryant, Glen, Glover, Montpelier, North Bryant, Vermont and the City of Roscoe)

Precinct #5 – Bowdle Multi-Purpose Center (Townships: Bowdle, Cloyd Valley, Cottonwood Lake, Hillside, Hudson, Madison, Modena, Odessa and the City of Bowdle)

Precinct #6 – Hosmer Fire Hall (Townships: Hosmer, Sangamon and the City of Hosmer).
