    The Roscoe Summer Youth Baseball and Softball teams recently attended their 8th Annual NSU Team Camps. The NSU Softball coaches worked directly with the groups on drills and skills specific to each sport. The camp was paid for by the Summer Youth Program and was free to all the softball and baseball participants.     The Edmunds County 4-H Horse Show was held on Wednesday, June 26 at the Yellowstone Trail Complex in Ipswich. The six participants were from Edmunds, McPherson, and Walworth counties. Edmunds County participants were Jacey Rossow and Quincy Olivier. Champion Showman from Edmunds County was Senior Quincy Olivier.     The 2024 Trail Days Bulls and Broncs event was successful. Spud Creek Rodeo Co provided great bucking stock to pair with excellent cowboys. The winner of Round 1 of the Broncs was split between Ridge Ward of Martin and Tayson Jones of Howes. Second place went to Zane Howe of Caputa. Mollie Simon represented Ipswich on the girls' side carding a 103 on the first day. On the second day, she bounced back with a score of 97 finishing outside of the medalist placings. Mollie had a great season placing in the top ten standing in six tournaments, earning first place at the LRC golf meet and receiving MVP honors from the Ipswich golf team....

    Edmunds Central golfers competed in the State B Golf Tournament June 3 and 4 in Brookings. The boys played on the Brookings Country Club. The Edmunds Central boys were ninth, with a 249-254/503. The EC golfers were led by Seth Hettick. He was tied for 12th place with a 159. Harrison Beyers was tied for 18th, posting a 162. Trent Beyers was tied for 91st, scoring 182.     Two Ipswich seniors have been selected to play in the South Dakota Football Coaches Association's 2024 All-Star Football Game on Saturday, June 8 at South Dakota State University's Dana Dykhouse Stadium in Brookings. The Edmunds Central golfers placed second at the Ipswich Invitational with a 257, behind the Ipswich boys with 250. Seth Hettick was third, followed by Harrison Beyers at fourth - 83 and 84.     Ipswich held a high school golf meet on May 16 at the Split Rock Country Club. Hailey Usselman finished 10th with a 123 and Mollie Simon shot a 102, which earned her fourth place.     Ipswich and North Central track and field teams competed in the Super Region Meet on May 16 in Gettysburg. Ipswich boys and girls teams took first place in the 17-18 team meet. The Ipswich girls had 110 points, followed by James Valley Christian, 104. North Central was seventh. The Ipswich boys led with 131 points.     On April 18, the Ipswich golfers headed to Miller to golf on a cool and windy day. Wind gusts were up to over 30 miles per hour and the temperatures never really got above the low 40s.
