Ipswich and North Central track and field teams complete regular season

Ipswich and North Central track and field teams competed in the Super Region Meet on May 16 in Gettysburg.

Ipswich boys and girls teams took first place in the 17-18 team meet. The Ipswich girls had 110 points, followed by James Valley Christian, 104. North Central was seventh. The Ipswich boys led with 131 points. Timber Lake was second with 85.5 and North Central was third with 76.

IPSWICH

Jalyssa Hutson earned two wins. She had a 4-06.00 High Jump. She was also the Pole Vault champ, with a 10-06.00, followed by Marley Guthmiller at 9-06.00. Sophia Knittel won the 200 Meter event at 27.30. Madisyn Gellhaus was top in the 1600 Meter run at 5:21.58.

Kyle Hettich was also a double winner. He was first in the 100 Meter dash at 11:30, followed by Trevor Heinz, second at 11.37. Then Hettich won the 200 Meter race at 23.23, followed by Maxwell Kulesa, second at 23.34. Rasmus Loken won the 110 m Hurdles with a 16.52 run. Loken also won the Pole Vault with a 12-06.00 leap. Brody Davis was next at 11-06.00. Trevor Heinz won the Long Jump with a 21.02.00 jump.

Hettich was also part of the winning 4x100 relay team at 44.64. The team also included Brody Davis, Casey Geditz and Trevor Heinz. Ipswich also won the 4x200 Relay at 1:31.30. Runners were Geditz, Kulesa, Hettich and Heinz.
