The Ipswich track and field team competed in a windy Lake Region Conference in Ipswich on Tuesday, May 7.
The Ipswich boys won the LRC meet with 175.5 points. Warner was second, 114.5. The IHS girls were second right behind Warner, 159.5 - 156.
North Central was third in both divisions. Both Warner teams won the middle school divisions.
Ipswich boys were one-two-three in the 100 Meter and 200 Meter Dashes. Trevor Heinz was first in the 100 Meter at 11.45, followed by Kyle Hettich, also at 11.45 and Casey Geditz, third at 11.73.
Maxwell Kulesa was first in the 200 Meter race at 24.31. He was followed by Kyle Hettich at 24.32 and then Trevor Heinz, 24.81.
Two IHS boys relay teams posted championships. The 4x100 team ran 45.69. Team members were Kyle Hettich, Maxwell Kulesa, Casey Geditz, and Brody Davis. The 4x200 Relay team was first at 1:39.00. Runners were Davis, Kulesa, Rasmus Loken and Kaden Weig.
Tied for first in the Pole Vault at 11-01.00 were Rasmus Loken and Brody Davis.
Trevor Heinz won the Long Jump with a 22-06.50 leap.
Sophia Knittel scored a championship in the 200 Meters, at 28.46. Madisyn Gellhaus won the 3200 Meters at 11:59.16.
IHS girls were winners in the Pole Vault. Jalyssa Hutson was first at 9-09.00, followed by Marley Guthmiller, 9-03.00.
