This week marks the 50th anniversary of the Robert Kennedy assassination. How time flies!

Every June also has a number of organized weekend events around the area and we didn't even make it over to one of them, Fort Sisseton, this past weekend.

The next highlight of June, is of course, Ipswich's own Trail Days, June 8-9-10 and there's something to do for everybody. Thank the sponsors when you see them.

And maybe Trail Days will even help scare up some rain showers. We could certainly use them!

Another Saturday to mark on your June calendar will be the Ipswich Community-Wide Rummage Sales sponsored by the Ipswich Commercial Club. And the official date will be June 23, not June 30.

June always goes past too rapidly and that's not just because it's a 30-day month. But it does contain the longest day of the entire year, from sunrise to sunset.
