Lions recyling prescription bottles

November 7, 2018

The Ipswich Lions Club is taking on a new community project working with Vilas Drug in Ipswich and First State Bank in Roscoe.

They are now recycling empty prescription bottles. The club is working with a ministry from Ohio which includes the recycled bottles in their overseas medical shipments to developing countries. The bottles allow medical staff to send prescriptions home with patients packaged rather than giving them to a patient in an envelope or simply in their hand.

Drop off your empty prescription and over the counter medication plastic bottles, such as vitamins or supplements, at either location and they’ll take care of the rest. They will also have a container at the concession stand during all Ipswich home games to collect your empty prescription and over the counter medication bottles.
