Flowers were blooming thanks to the wet, warm fall. The snow coat took care of that. These colorful flowers in a bed in Ipswich, which received less snow, were still covered with white before their imminent death.
Northern South Dakota was coated with a layer of white beginning last Thursday continuing through Saturday.
Roscoe weather observer Leland Treichel recorded more than 11 inches of snow during the event.
The weather caused cancellations and postponements, including Ipswich School, volleyball tourney and the Gypsy Day parade, where Ipswich was listed as a marching band participant.
