Fiddlin' Around

The two sophomore quarterbacks in Friday’s game both had EC/Roscoe ties.

Trey Hettick of HSA is the grandson of Donald and Sandy Hettick of Roscoe and the son of Alexis and Chris Hettick of Selby. Tiger QB Ian Beyers is the son of Allen and Margy Beyers of Roscoe and the grandson of John and Patty Beyers of Roscoe.

Hettick’s team came away victorious. Details are also in this week’s paper.

On Sunday we attended an outdoor live concert at the Red Rooster in Aberdeen, with proper social distancing. Former Ipswich UCC Pastor Enno Limvere plays the bass in their house band The Joeys. The group plays rockabilly-style music.

Actually the concert was the group’s final performance with Enno, because he and his wife Kileen are moving to Grand Marais, Minn. He will serve as the minister at the UCC Church. He told us the parsonage is just a few blocks away from the shoreline of Lake Superior. The town would be just a bit larger than Ipswich, but still a small town by Minnesota standards. And you could also guess it attracts quite a few visitors from time to time.
