The 2021 Ipswich Snow Queen Festival was a sweet treat on Saturday, Nov. 14.

The Ipswich Commercial Club chose "Sweet Dreams" as this year's theme.

Lindsey Grabowska was crowned the 2021 Ipswich Snow Queen. The first runner-up was Angeline Rye. The contestants chose Tarynn Kleffman as Miss Congeniality.

Karlie Gohl was crowned the 2021 Junior Snow Queen. Hannah Beyers was the first runner-up.

2020 Miss Ipswich Avery Sylte and 2020 Junior Miss Ipswich Ashley Ptacek were present to help crown the new queens. They also interviewed the first grade Princess and Prince candidates. Then the Ipswich first graders sang a Christmas song. The winners, chosen at random, were Princess Trinity Jones and Prince Braxton Rye (brother of first runner-up Angeline Rye).

The emcees this year were 2019 South Dakota Snow Queen Aleah Steger and 2019 Junior Miss Ipswich Emily DeRaad.

The 2021 Senior Citizens Snow Queen was Lorraine Reidt. Lorraine grew up on a farm south of Roscoe, then lived in Roscoe until moving to Avantara last year. She was active in the Roscoe Commercial Club for many years, helping put on the Snow Queen festival there. She was chosen by the staff at Avantara Ipswich.

Quincy Olivier and Emily Knoll sang solos for entertainment during the festival.

There was not a Guess Frosty this year, but Frosty was there to help out during the festival Saturday night. Frosty's identity was revealed at the end of the evening. Bill Morgan was under the mask.

Miss Ipswich Lindsey and Junior Miss Ipswich Karlie will compete in the 75th South Dakota Snow Queen Festival, scheduled to be held in January 2021.
