Wrestlers compete in Mobridge

Lucas Rowland did well at recent wrestling meets, placed second in his division.

The Ipswich/Bowdle Wrestlers were in action Mobridge on Tuesday, Jan. 19 to compete in the Mobridge-Pollock Invitational. The I/B team secured a second place team finish behind the home team Mobridge-Pollock.

The Tigers had three champions - Brady Unser, Tanner Frickson, and Grant Weisser. Lucas Rowland and Kadyn Weisser had second place wins.

I/B results were:

106 - Lane Miller was pinned 1:06, lost by tech fall 20-5, was pinned 3:14 for fourth place (4 points)

113 - Brady Unser won by major decision 12-3, won by pin 3:44 for first place (8 points)

138 - Tanner Frickson won 11-4, won by pin 3:11, won by pin 4:36 for first place (18 points)

152 - Adam Kanable was pinned :25, was pinned :45; won by pin 4:28 for third place (9 points)

170 - Grant Weisser won by injury default, won by medical forfeit for first place (6 points)

182 - Kadyn Weisser lost by technical fall 16-1, was pinned :26 for second place


285 - Lucas Rowland won by pin :19, won by pin 1:59, lost 4-3 for second place (14 points)
