Catholic Daughters education contest winners announced

Ipswich students who were winners in the CDA education contest were, left to right, Karlie Gohl, Elaina Morales, and Luke Beyers.

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) Court St. Katharine Drexel #2516 held its local education contest recently.

The theme of the contest was "Let All you do be done with love" or "Show Love to One Another."

The local winners were:

• Division 1: Grades 4-5 Art-Elaina Morales of Ipswich and in Poetry-Brayden Heyne of Roscoe.

• Division 2: Grades 6-8 Essay-Ashton Heyne of Roscoe.

• Division 3: Grades 9-12 Photography-Karlie Gohl of Ipswich and Computer Art- Luke Beyers of Ipswich High School.

• Division 4 which is open to all adult CDA members, had a winner in photography and poetry-Geralyn Malsom of Hosmer.

Their entries move on to the state contest which will be held in April at the state Catholic Daughters Convention.
