South Dakota population increases, Edmunds County decreases in 2020 U.S. Census

South Dakota’s population saw a 8.9% increase since 2010 according to 2020 Census results. That was the 16th highest in the nation.

The state’s population increased by 72,487 people since 2010. The state’s total is 886,667 people.

With 3,909 people, Edmunds County is the 41st most populated county in the state of South Dakota out of 66 counties. The county’s population was 4,041 in 2011.
