South Dakota Snow Queen Festival begins January 7

Miss Ipswich Tasia Rivera, left, and Junior Miss Ipswich Kathryn Kilber will participate in the South Dakota Snow Queen Festival.

Queen April Simon and Junior Queen Olivia Hadrick, along with the South Dakota Snow Queen Festival, invite you to join them for the 76th South Dakota Snow Queen Festival, to be held January 7-15, 2022.

Miss Ipswich Tasia Rivera and Junior Miss Ipswich Kathryn Kilber will participate in the Festival events.

Representatives from local communities will be featured at the Junior Snow Queen Coronation held the evening of January 8, 2022 at the Aberdeen Civic Theatre. The program will begin at 7 p.m.

Friday evening, January 14, 2022, the Snow Queen candidates, visiting dignitaries, and Snow Queen sponsors will be featured at the Queen's Banquet and Ball at the Ramkota Ballroom.

Festival activities will conclude with the crowning of the 2022 South Dakota Snow Queen on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 7 p.m. at the Aberdeen Civic Theatre.

The talent show begins Saturday, Jan. 8 at 9:30 a.m. in the Civic Theatre. Ipswich talent winners Emily Knoll, senior division, and Gracyn Kadlec, junior division will compete. Finalists will perform at both the Junior Snow Queen and the Snow Queen coronations.
