Conservation coordinator named

Emily Hauck has been named the Outreach and Resource Development Coordinator for the North Missouri Area Conservation Districts serving Edmunds and McPherson counties.

This new position is designed to increase effectiveness of local outreach efforts and involvement in local work groups targeting conservation. Through educational and promotional activities, Emily will help increase awareness on the local conservation concerns and programs available to assist landowners and producers in sustaining our environment.

"I am excited to work with local producers, community members, and teammates to share the importance of conservation and the services provided by the conservation districts and NRCS," Emily said.

The community is encouraged to call the district offices or email [email protected] to visit with her about local outreach or education events and collaboration opportunities with the district. Be sure to introduce yourself to Emily.

She grew up on her family's ranch near Forbes, N.D. where she developed a passion for agriculture at a young age. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Education with a minor in Animal Science from North Dakota State University. Prior to taking this position, Emily taught high school Agriculture Education for two years.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding horse, and checking cattle.
