Value Up sessions for Ipswich students Friday

The Ipswich School will host VALUE UP on Friday, Sept. 30, sponsored by the Ipswich Lions Club.

Mike Donahue is the founder and director of Value Up, a non-profit company dedicated to helping young people know and see their true intrinsic value.

During the event on Friday students will hear a life-changing story which will inspire and motivate them to value themselves and others, strengthening the community and school culture.

There will be sessions throughout the day for students - at 8:40 a.m. for 6-8 students and from 9:45 to 10:45 for 9-12 students. That afternoon K-3 students will have a session on respect and 4-5 students on the power of words. Eighth grade students through seniors will have a session on leadership later in the afternoon.

There will be a session for parents and community members that evening in the School Theatre beginning at 7 p.m.

Donahue is a youth specialist, author, speaker and podcast host. He has been speaking to and mentoring young people for over three decades. He has worked with young people all over the world.
