Hobo Day celebrating 110 years, IHS band to march in parade

Hobo Day celebrates 110 years of South Dakota State University homecoming tradition in 2022.

Festivities kicked off Monday with the annual Bum-A-Meal, where SDSU students share a meal with community members, and will culminate with the parade traveling from Medary Avenue to downtown Brookings starting at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 29.

The Ipswich School Marching Band will be among the bands in the Hobo Day parade on Oct. 29.

Jim Woster will serve as this year’s Hobo Day Parade grand marshal.
