The 2023 South Dakota Snow Queen Festival will be held on January 7 and 14 to crown the S.D. Snow Queen and Junior Snow Queen.

The Junior Coronation is planned on Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Aberdeen Civic Theatre.

Local junior queens are Junior Miss Ipswich Gracyn Kadlec and Junior Miss North Central Sydnee Malsam.

The next week, on Jan. 14 the 2023 South Dakota Snow Queen will be crowned. The coronation is at 7 p.m. in the Aberdeen Civic Theatre.

Local queens are Miss Ipswich Jailey Hutson and Miss North Central Jasmin Garcia.

Ipswich has talent contestants also. That competition is Jan. 7. Chancey and Charlee Kessler are the junior contestants and Emily Knoll will compete in the senior division.

After each division's competition, the finalists will be named. The finalists will perform again that evening at the S.D. Junior Snow Queen Coronation and Talent Competition in the Aberdeen Civic Theatre.

The top three place winners are awarded cash prizes in each division. The top two from each division perform at the South Dakota Snow Queen Coronation on Jan. 14, 2023.
