Wrestling Region 1B

The Ipswich/Bowdle Wrestlers will compete in the 1B Regional Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 18 in the Cossack Center at the Sioux Valley School in Volga beginning at noon.

Sixteen schools will be wrestling in the Region. The top four in each division will be eligible to compete in the State B Wrestling Tournament Feb. 23-24 in Rapid City.

Girls BB Region 6B

Region 6B girls basketball play begins Monday, Feb. 20.

The #8 and #9 seeds will play Feb. 20 at the site of the lower seed.

The Region 6B teams are: Sully Buttes, Potter County, Lyman, Herreid/Selby Area, Lower Brule, Faulkton Area, Ipswich, Highmore-Harrold and Sunshine Bible Academy.

The winner of Monday night’s game will play the #1 seed at that school’s location on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Other games on Feb. 21 will be Seed #4 vs. Seed #5, Seed #2 vs. Seed #7 and Seed #3 vs. Seed #6.

The Seeds will be decided after the end of the regular season later this week.

The top two teams will qualify for the SoDak competition. The winners will play in the Girls State B Tournament March 9-11 in Huron.
