Mina bridge honors WWII veteran

The South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs hosted a State Bridge Dedication Ceremony in June to honor U.S. Army Private First Class Cy Kaiser.

The ceremony was held June 22, 2023, at the U.S. Army Reserve Center in Aberdeen.

The US HWY 12 Bridge south of Lake Mina was dedicated to PFC Kaiser.

While serving with the 104th Infantry Division, Kaiser died a hero's death November 21, 1944, when he was killed in action in Germany.
