Bike-A-Thon ball program fundraiser

The Roscoe Summer Youth Program held their Fourth Annual Bike-A-Thon on July 18 at the Roscoe City Park. 

The event is held to help raise funds for the Roscoe Baseball and Softball programs.  Sixty-one participants received pledges for the program and totaled their night with 706 miles in the two allowed hours. 

Three routes were offered: Easy - .25 miles, Medium - .75 miles, and Hard - 1.25 Miles. 

Cash prizes sponsored by the First State Bank of Roscoe were given to the top two riders in each group.  The participant raising the most money also receives recognition and a cash award. 

This year's winners were: 

• Easy Route: 1st Place: Tenley Heyne - 6 miles; 2nd Place: Milo Meier - 4.5 miles

• Medium Route: 1st Place:  Nora Eveland 26.25 miles; 2nd Place: Deklan Peterson: 24 miles

• Hard Route: 1st Place: Tye Pietz 38.75 miles; 2nd Place: Grace Roth 35 miles

Corbin Beyers raised the most money ($540.00).

The event was sponsored by: Malsam Bros. Trucking (t-shirts), Kilber Trucking (t-shirts), The First State Bank of Roscoe (cash prizes for riders), C&B Operations of Roscoe (cooler bags).
