The bird watcher looks for volunteers to play a bird during the play in Ipswich.
The Traveling Lantern theatre group presented "Rhonda Appleseed & the Tree That Learned How to Speak" on July 28 in the Ipswich Bandshell.
Rhonda, standing on the stage in the photo, and her father visited a state park. Her father also portrayed other characters, including this bird watcher. He was looking for a volunteer to be a bird.
The play gave a variety of ways the audience could preserve the environment.
