Ipswich music students Gavin Wollman, Hannah Beyers and Lawson Santema were selected to represent Ipswich on the 2023 South Dakota Music Ambassador trip to Europe.

They were part of the concert band directed by retired Aberdeen Central Band Director Jerry Letcher and Sioux Falls O'Gorman band director Ben Koch.

From June 21-July 6 the musicians toured and performed in England, France, Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

Some of the highlights of their sightseeing included: Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Back to the Future the Musical, Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, Cruise on the Seine River, the Matterhorn, and St. Stephen's Cathedral.

Wollman and Santema are 2023 IHS graduates.
