CHRISTMAS TREE IS PLACED

There is a Santa Claus—and every youngster in Ipswich and surrounding territory will know it Saturday, December 21st when jolly old Kris Kringle arrives in Ipswich from the North Pole to distribute treats to all the good boys and girls.

He has telegraphed the Ipswich Commercial Club that he expects to be here between 3 and 3:30 p.m. His pack will be loaded down with good things-candy and nuts. So be on hand.

He will make his headquarters at the Community Christmas Tree at the intersection of Main Street.

The giant monarch of the pines, a gift of C. M. St. Paul and Pacific railroad company to Ipswich, was put in place Saturday. The luxuriant evergreen towers over twenty feet in the air. It came from a great distance-Idaho, to make the children happy.

The work of decorating it will begin this week beautiful illuminating lights will adorn its branches.
