The South Dakota Department of Ag & Natural Resources and the South Dakota Association of Conservation Districts invite private, public and home schooled students to participate in the 2024 Resource Conservation Speech Contest, with a theme of Working Grassland: Why Should We Care.

Explore the many purposes of working grasslands, develop your public speaking skills, and compete for the top statewide prize of a $1,200 scholarship courtesy of East River Electric in addition to area-level prizes, with a 4-6 minute speech.

East River Electric Cooperative provides three scholarships to this Speech Contest in the amounts of First Place: $1,200 Scholarship; Second Place: $800 Scholarship; Third Place: $500 Scholarship
