Ipswich/Bowdle wrestlers see action at Webster Invitational

The Ipswich/Bowdle wrestling team competed in the Webster Invitational on Dec. 29.

The I/B team earned 35 points for 11th place. Miller won the event with 211 points.

I/B wrestler Kadyn Weisser placed second, wrestling Ayden Gisi of Aberdeen Central in the first place match. Justin Rohrbach placed third.

I/B wrestling results were:

106 - Chance Miller: received a bye, lost by fall 1:42, received a bye, lost by fall 2:17

144 - Gunnar Knittel: received a bye, lost by fall 2:00, lost by fall 2:35

157 - Beau Schilling: won by fall 2:00, lost by fall 0:39, won by decision 4-3, lost by major decision 13-3, scoring five team points

175 - Justin Rohrbach: received a bye, won by fall 1:00, lost by decision 7-0, won by decision 8-4, won by sudden victory 9-7 for third place, scoring 14 team points

215 - Kadyn Weisser: received a bye, won by fall 1:57, lost by decision 7-1 for second place, scoring 16 team points


Ipswich/Bowdle grapplers are scheduled to wrestle in Miller on Jan. 6.
