Ipswich/Bowdle wrestlers competed in the Region 1B Tournament in Gettysburg on Feb. 17.

IHS Senior Kadyn Weisser placed fourth in the Region and will compete in the 215 division at the State B Meet Feb. 22-24 in the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls.

Kadyn will wrestle Levi Wieman of Parker in the first round on Feb. 22.

IHS Seventh grader Sophia Knittel will also compete at the State B. She will compete in the girls 126 division. She will wrestle Allison Neitzel of Aberdeen Central in the first round.

Kingsbury County was the the Region 1B champion with 177 points. Faulkton Area was close behind them with 176.5. Ipswich/ Bowdle was 13th place with 23 points.

I/B Region 1B results were:

144: Gunnar Knittel — lost by fall 3:03, received a bye, lost by fall 4:36

157: Beau Schulling — received a bye, lost by fall 0:52, lost by major decision 13-0

175: Justin Rohrbach — received a bye, lost by decision 4-3, won by fall 2:31, won by fall 3:38, lost byu decision 7-2, lost by fall 0:52, placed sixth and scored 9 team points

215: Kadyn Weisser — won by fall 1:27, lost by decision 5-4, won by fall 4:10, lost by fall 4:28, placed fourth and scored 14 team points
