Ipswich eighth grader Temperance Cody will play in the SDMEA Middle School All-State Band March 1-2 in Mitchell.
There are two bands - the Honor Band and Festival Band. Temperance auditioned and was chosen for the Festival Band. She plays euphonium.
The bands begin rehearsals on Friday at 12:15 p.m. They continue rehearsals Friday and Saturday.
The concerts are Saturday, March 2 beginning at 3 p.m. in the Mitchell Performing Arts Center.
The directors are composer/ arranger Randall Standridge of Jonesboro, Ark. and Dr. Larry Petersen, band director at Marshall, Minn. High School....
