First Boy Scout Troop in 1912

Eight boys composed the first Boy Scout troop to be organized in Edmunds County, at Ipswich in 1912. Member are: Tony Waldt, Melvin Jaquith, Ralph Smithberger, Hilbert Hilton, Loren Parmley, Frank Smith, John Arnold, 3rd and Norman Jaquith.

According to those who were acquainted with scouting in those days the Ipswich boys were known as the “Wolf Patrol”
