Fiddlin' Around

February 19, 2020

The holiday weekend sort of put us behind at the newspaper office, especially with some Tuesday snow flakes in the air. We were indeed in the office on Monday, but Presidents Day still seemed like a holiday of sorts. As you will recall, the weekend started with Valentines Day last Friday and concluded on Monday, Presidents Day.

I would imagine that some people went somewhere, during the weekend, because the weather got quite a bit warmer than earlier in the week and the roads weren't all that bad for a change. But Ipswich did have school on Monday.

Regional wrestling action is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 in Sisseton and then on Monday, the regional girls basketball drama will get underway with a play-in game between the eighth and ninth seeded teams. Ipswich will definitely be playing on Tuesday versus who and where still to be determined. So good luck to the North Central Thunder and Ipswich Tiger girls' basketball teams in the region as well as the regional wrestlers on Saturday.
