Ipswich Public School

District 22-6

Superintendent, Special Services Director

It is our hope, that we all recognize the unique roles that school boards play in promoting and advocating for quality education. Our board members serve as advisers, decision-makers, problem solvers and advocates of the Ipswich Public School District. They are elected by the community stakeholders and represent their voice and vision for their public schools.

February 17-21 is South Dakota School Board Recognition Week, and we’d like to express gratitude to the members of the Ipswich Public School District board: Todd Hettich, Carol Pond, Kathy Bauer, Justin Davis, and Tadd Thorson. These dedicated volunteers reside in our community. They are friends, neighbors, community leaders, engaged citizens and/or parents at our schools. They make time to generously provide this important public service because they care. They care about their own children’s education. They care about the schools being the best they can be. If they aren’t parents in the community they care about the next generation and the future of the community. The volunteer efforts of the school board members have the potential for tremendous benefit to the community as a whole, as well as the lives of the students individually.

During this week of recognition, the staff and students of the Ipswich Public School District ask you to show your appreciation, to these board members, for their service. Thank them for advocating on behalf of our collective best interests and making difficult decisions. Please show your gratitude in some way for their time, effort and dedication to making the Ipswich Public School District a place where we can “Dare to Dream it…and Work to Achieve it”!! Go Tigers!
