FIRE TRUCK FOR IPSWICH

At a meeting of the city council, it was decided to purchase a truck for the city fire department. W. S. Hagen was the successful bidder for the truck and the council will purchase a Chevrolet truck chassis and will have a special body built to carry the present firefighting paraphernalia. This is a good move on the part of the council as anyone knowing the circumstances will believe. After a man has run from home to the fire house at the call of fire, is no condition to fight fire, especially after transforming himself into a truck horse on the hose cart and made a run of a few more blocks.
