Dear Readers,
I want to make everyone aware that the article in last week’s edition that featured Mormon Missionaries working on the “Holy Cross Cemetery Project” was not approved or authorized by Holy Cross Catholic Church. The website they promote, “BillionGraves” has been designed and is operated by members of the Mormon religion. Many online reviewers have complained that this website is a Scam. For people who provide their Credit Card Information, they will be charged monthly for the service and are not able to cancel the service without disputing the transaction with their credit card companies. I advise all readers not to provide your financial information to this business. They DO NOT have the endorsement of Holy Cross Church.
An alternative website is http://www.findagrave.com, which is free to use and already has over 800 listings and grave photographs from our local cemeteries for family genealogy research. I do not want any of our community members from whatever religious background to lose money from the “BillionGraves” business under false pretenses.
