Fiddlin' Around

February 10, 2021

Several things to touch on so here goes!

The weather? How about last Wednesday's power outage for several hours due to several days of that white stuff built up on power lines and trees. (A little is pretty, but a lot is pretty dangerous.) But as is usually the case some other locations had a longer outage, so it could have been worse. And it actually wasn't really all that cold yet. But still makes you wish you had a generator or two.

And the weather has since turned bitterly cold at least for awhile. But February is almost half over and it only has 28 days to begin with.

The Edmunds Central one-act play at state sounded really impressive and several NC basketball players including those from EC were in Highmore facing and defeating Colome's girls and boys during that very same time span last Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, Valentines Day is actually on a Sunday this year, but it will be preceded by the Chinese New Year Day which will be Friday, February 12. And according to their calendar, this will be the Year of the Ox. So you might want to celebrate with Chinese food, then top the weekend off with chocolate on Valentines Day. Also keep in mind that Monday — Presidents’ Day is a holiday, so our deadlines will be this Friday as well, especially for news or advertising material sent through the mail.
