Lately, the old expression “When it rains, it pours” has been the case with a good old-fashioned cloudburst or two.

The forecasting science has improved so much that the weather experts are confident enough to say the L-word (likely) rain several days in advance or at least a 90% chance.

Fortunately, it hadn’t snowed yet this year in our neck of the woods. But that’s probably only a matter of when, not if. But then who even knows if our fall and winter temperatures will be affected by global warming. We’ll just hope it’s not the F-word (freezing) rain.
