It finally is that time of the year. Time for the various high school sports’ post-season to begin, starting with wrestling this Saturday. Girls basketball regions are next week, beginning on Monday.

Especially now that the Super Bowl is finally over, the winter sports will be history as well. That is indeed how time flies.

So good luck to all the area high school athletes in each of their respective sports. Hopefully a lot of games will go right down to the last possession, just like the Super Bowl did. There seemed to be a lot of parity in that whole league especially during the post-season drama.

Remember — Monday is Presidents’ Day, a holiday for many. But not our office. If you are sending material for next week’s newspaper we need it on Monday and there will be no mail on Monday!
