Rain and snow mix are common until the middle of the month, after this it is mainly rain.

• 1981: Warm month - Average high temp. for April, 1981 was 64 degrees – Every day’s high was 50 plus degrees except one day which was 43 degrees – 12 days were in the 60s, 4 days in the 70s and 2 days in the 80s

• 1986: Wet month – 13 days during April, 1986 had precip. readings which by the end of the month totaled 6.20 – Blizzard conditions on 13 and 14 was caused by 8 inches of wet snow and strong winds – Snow disappeared quickly because over an inch of rain followed the blizzard two days later – Over one inch of moisture was melted down from the 8 inches of snow giving the area over two inches of moisture in a week’s time – Thunder was recorded in 7 of the 13 moisture events.
