Edmunnds County 4-H Recognition Night held

4-Hers who were recognized for record keeping.

The Edmunds County 4-H Recognition Event was held Monday, November 27 at the 4-H Building in Ipswich.

The evening started with a potluck supper followed by the awards ceremony. The 4-H members, leaders, and friends of 4-H were honored for their accomplishments and contributions.

Bonnie Nehlich, 4-H Youth Program Advisor, welcomed all to the event and introduced the emcees for the night, Junior Leader President Kathryn Kilber, and Vice President Hannah Beyers.

4-H graduation awards were presented to Jailey Hutson, Baylee Kulesa, Quincy Olivier, and Grant Weisser.

The Meritorious Award was presented to Aberdeen Chrysler Center for letting them use their Concession Stand during Achievement Days.

Leaders receiving special recognition for years of service as club leaders and a member of the Leaders Association were Janet Fuhrmann – 15 years, Amber Beyers – 10 years, Lacey Galbraith – five years, Jordan and Amanda Holt – five years, and Jeremy Rawden – five years. They each received a certificate and a clover pin.

Other leaders recognized for their years of service were Becki Bass – three years, Carole Curtis – 21 years, Courtney Davis – seven years, Holly Fischer – one year, Danielle Hoyle – one year, Jean Hutson – nine years, John and Steph Jung – 13 years, Kim Kanable – nine years, Scott Kilber – 14 years, Sarah Perrion – two years, Amanda Rawden – nine years, and Bryan and Jessica Scherr – six years, and Jill Wittmeier – two years.

The Overall Dog Showman was Raymond Fitz-Patrick.

Quincy Olivier was recognized for her participation at the State Finals Rodeo in Goat Tying.

The Visual Arts Dabbler Awards went to Junior Kaidence Bulgin and Senior Quincy Olivier.

The County Rate of Gain was won by Sydney Holmes for sheep, Jacob Jung for swine, and Sydney Holmes for beef.

Project medals were presented to Quincy Olivier for Horse. Shooting Sports pins were presented to Addison Galbraith, Jase Heilman, William Hoyle, Austion Sieh, and Brynlee Rasmussen.

Twenty-two members were recognized for completing record books. They all received purple ribbons.

Maggie Holt, Jacob Jung, and Kathryn Kilber were recognized for receiving Purple Rosette in Showmanship at the State Fair.

Brady Beitelspacher, Jillian Fischer, Maggie Holt, Jacob Jung, and Charli Rawden were recognized for having Grand Champion Animals at the State Fair.

State Fair cash awards were presented to Brady Beitelspacher, Jillian Fischer, Maggie Holt, Jacob Jung, and Charli Rawden.

Best of Show Award was given to Andrew Fuhrmann Open Class winner.

The many supporters of the 4-H program were recognized with a Friend of 4-H Certificate.
