Wanda Moser, 85, Mound City, died Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Walworth County Care Center, Selby.

Services were scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Lien Funeral Home, Bowdle, led by Pastor Jaimie Odde. Burial followed at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Eureka.

Wanda Elaine Moos, daughter of Luella (Bucklin) and Albert Moos, was born at Selby on January 16, 1939. She was brought up in Selby and attended Selby Public School, graduating with the SHS Class of 1957. She went on to Rapid City where she attended business school and correspondence school concentrating on bookkeeping. Wanda returned to Selby and was employed at Miller Insurance.

She married Roger Moser at the Selby United Methodist Church on October 16, 1961. They settled in Mound City and Wanda continued employment at Miller Insurance. She later was employed at the Campbell County Auditor's Office. In 2001, the Mosers relocated to Custer. She was employed at the Chute Rooster in Hill City and was involved in daycare. In 2012, Roger and Wanda returned to Mound City.

Wanda was a member of Norway Lutheran Church in Glenham where she was active in the Ladies group. Her hobbies included crocheting, word-search games, and playing tic-tac-toe with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wanda is survived by two brothers, Tyrone Moos of Phillip and Myron Moos of Selby; two sisters, Goldie Madden of the Strasburg Care Center, Strasburg, N.D. and Myra Hahne of Selby; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger on April 10, 2021; her father, Albert on October 29, 1974; her mother, Luella on August 31, 1981; one son, Rodney; and one daughter, Janet .

Bearers were grandson Ryan Moser, and family friend Tim VanderVorst. Honorary bearers were the staff at the Walworth County Care Center, where Wanda lived the past three years.

Services are in care of Lien Funeral Home, Bowdle. Wanda's service was livestreamed at the Lien Family Funeral Care Facebook page.
