Ipswich obtained several placements, led by some impressive first-place performances at the Fuller Invitational high school track and field meet at the Barnett Center in Aberdeen last Tuesday.

For starters on the girls’ side, Lily Gaston won a pair of individual events, the 200-meter dash in :28.98 and the long jump at 4.85 meters.

The girls also got a winning effort from Tessa Kilber in the 400-meter dash, clocked at 1:04.18 and Paige Mehlberg added a first-place high jump effort at 1.53 meters. And Kamryn Heinz produced yet another winning individual event, launching the shot put 10.94...
