Fiddlin' Around

October 30, 2019

Congratulations to the cross country runners at the State B in Huron on Saturday. It turned out to be quite a decent day and the calm before the storm. From then on it's felt more like November or even December, but on the plus side it didn't precipitate much if any in the past few days.

Getting around Highway 37 detours north of Huron and in the city itself was about as big a challenge as the cross country course with its hilly terrain. So it was a good thing that the Class B races were a little later this year from those of us arriving from the north. But I'm sure that people that are familiar with that area probably know about alternate paved road detours that would have made the trip a bit shorter.

Now it's time for post-season volleyball and all the drama it presents. So good luck again to the area teams. And I think also that it's getting to be that All-State Chorus time of the year. It's always fun to look out at that sea of faces to see which are familiar to you.
