Fiddlin' Around

The wind decides to blow out of the north several days in a row and then from the south for multiple days and most recently back to being predominately from the west. The bottom line though was that the area did not get a whole lot of rain during that time span. But we were happy for the few systems that produced whatever moisture they could.

Enough to need to get in a lawn mowing or two, but if it weren't for all those dandelions the grass would probably not be all that high. It was beneficial that the regional track and field and golf tournaments had fairly decent weather which is always nice for the athletes.

So good luck in the upcoming state events to all the area athletes who are still alive in your respective sports. Especially to the seniors!

Hopefully the upcoming Memorial Day weather will include some welcomed moisture. It was certainly capable of that from time to time in the past few years. So that could definitely turn on the faucet if nothing else does in the meantime. It's almost June!

And what’s that old adage — when the wind is in the west the fish bite best. Man, they should be jumping right into your boat. But then again, you shouldn’t even be anywhere near the water with these white caps!
