The Ipswich cross country contingent attended an invitational in Pierre last Friday. They split up their entrants there so as to obtain more experience against runners from all the different divisions that ranged from high school varsity down to the middle-school divisions.

Ipswich didn't enter any of its girls into the varsity meet at Pierre, but Ashlinn Hartwell won the girls' JV division, conquering the 4K course in 17:46.87.
