Your calendar displays one of those up-coming Monday federal holidays, whatever you choose to name it. So here is the deal, our office will actually still be open on Monday, but there will be an early deadline on Friday for the materials to be placed in next Wednesday's editions of our newspapers, especially items that you mail.

And in the meantime enjoy the beautiful weather while it lasts. Today on Wednesday, October 6, there will be cross country runners enjoying the weather with their respective conference meets. Ipswich is hosting the LRC beginning at 12:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, and Gettysburg is hosting the YTC event, which starts with the boys' event at 1:00 p.m. today, Wednesday.

Then a week later, on October 13 also in Gettysburg will be our Region 4B meet and our area runners have been and will be logging their miles preparing for the regional with a trip to the State B at stake. Good luck in that endeavor, you guys and gals who represent North Central and Ipswich!
