Fiddlin' Around

December 15, 2021

You guys will all need to spend extra time in a gym or fitness center after all that awesome food available during the Ipswich Hometown Holiday Weekend. There was a variety of treats to say the least. And there will be more treats at the Roscoe Open House on Friday, Dec. 17

But fortunately for a while at least it hasn't been that bad outside to work out. Especially in the afternoon, but it gets dark so fast in the late afternoon. But it won't be much longer now until we are past the shortest daylight in the year, meaning of course the first day of winter. And we've already had more than one taste of winter here so far this year.

Ipswich got a surprise three inches of snow on a day where there wasn't much if any in the advanced forecasts. But then when it had been predicted for last Friday I doubt if we actually even received a trace of the white stuff in our immediate area. (It was just a bit further south than Highway 12.)

All those tornadoes that covered several states were so destructive in loss of lives and property that it was really unbelievable. This once again probably shows the devastating results of climate change here and now and not all off into the future.

EARLY DEADLINE

The next two issues of the newspaper will have holiday advertising and material. So we ask that you help us out by following a deadline on Friday afternoon instead of Monday. Thank you for your help!
