There is really no such thing as a January thaw anymore due to climate change or whatever. At least not in the traditional sense of a very long cold spell with finally a much welcomed late January thaw. If you were even lucky to experience that!

But our weather temperatures have been more like a roller coast ride with frequent ups and downs.

And that we haven't had a whole lot of precip. so far this winter in our immediate neck of the woods. We just get enough of the white stuff to be a nuisance, at least for now anyway. Be it in whatever form, snow, sleet or a wintry mix. Even freezing rain?...
