Fiddlin' Around

February 23, 2022

What is that white stuff blowing around for a change, I'm certainly not confusing it with flour escaping from a bakery window. But it wasn't very many days ago when that stuff in the air was dust colored because that's exactly what we were experiencing, blowing dust just like that old song Dust in the Wind by the band Kansas.

How quickly the weather can change this time of the year, especially when we're now getting into the midst of our post-season athletic events. Especially when our weather has already had a history all winter of going from one extreme to the other.

Getting back to sports, the Ipswich/Bowdle wrestling contingent has qualified three wrestlers for the State Meet — Brady Unser, Tanner Frickson and Kadyn Weisser, so good luck to you guys.

And as of this writing the regional girls basketball games were scheduled to be in progress with the scheduled boys' regional confrontations set for next week. The opening night had to be postponed due to the weather. The weather didn’t improve a whole lot on Tuesday, so the girls basketball action is still up in the air.
