Arlys P. Bierman

The funeral service for Arlys P. Bierman, 85, of Aberdeen, was at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home, with Pastor Bret Bierman officiating. Burial was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Mansfield.

Arlys died Tuesday, March 15, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital, Aberdeen.

Arlys P. Bierman, daughter of Alvin and Pearl (Stroschein) Bierman was born July 7, 1936, on a farm near Scatterwood Lake, Mansfield. She attended Ipswich High School and then went on to Aberdeen School of Commerce for business. Arlys worked at First National Bank in Aberdeen before moving to Minneapolis, Minn., in 1959. Arlys lived in Minneapolis for 60 years at which time she held different jobs until retiring in 2013.

Arlys held many interests in life, bowling was at the top of her list. She took her bowling team in Aberdeen and Minneapolis to state and national tournaments. Her highest score was 604 in a three-game series. She loved Twins baseball and Vikings football, fishing, traveling, and getting together with friends over meals. Most of all, Arlys loved spending time with her family.

Grateful for having shared Arlys' life are her brother-in-law, Robert Pond along with 13 nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Preceding Arlys in death are her parents Alvin and Pearl Bierman, brother Marvin, sister Marlene and Daryl Stoner, brother Ordean and Cary Bierman, and sister Evelyn (Evie) Pond.
