As is usually true this time of the year, there are no Cinderellas left in the NCAA basketball drama! Just some very familiar faces.

The South Dakota Coyotes and Creighton have dropped out of further contention on the women’s side, as did St. Peters in the men’s showdown.

In fact, North Carolina and Duke will indeed be facing each other as I understand. With Duke being coached by the legendary Coach K, who may be retiring. The other men’s advancers into the Final Four will be Kansas and Villanova.

The USD women lost a nailbiter to Michigan, who was subsequentially defeated by Louisville who will face South Carolina.

UConn is in the Final Four, as usual, facing the defending champions Stanford. The Huskies escaped with a two overtime win on Monday.

The SDSU women have had more success in the NIT. They are in the semifinals.

Watch out and don’t get fooled on Friday! Me, I’ll be watching basketball!
