Fiddlin' Around

March 22, 2023

Monday was allegedly the first day of spring, believe it or not. Up in this neck of the woods, you wouldn't necessarily believe it with the chilly weather we have had to endure lately. But South Dakota's snow cover seems to melt away quite faster in the southwestern part of the state and of course the temperatures tend to average out quite a bit warmer.

Even though those guys can get wintry weather from time to time in the form of those infamous late spring blizzards. I can remember a particular May Day snow storm there that was unreal.

Now we might see some high school runners that are able to find a dry street or two, or maybe a return to the Barnett Center now that the high school basketball seasons are finally over. And DeSmet won its third straight boys B there over the weekend so the thousand upon thousand fans have finally been cleared out! And they have discussed taking the B out of Aberdeen?
